This video touched me for several reasons but one really stood out for me. Until I saw this video I wasn’t aware that

Ouigi Theodore, the man behind The Brooklyn Circus brand, was Haitian. As a Haitian woman it was personally inspiring to hear his life story and to visually see his success. So many people come to The States not knowing a lick of English, but with sheer determination and serious hard work, they make it happen.  I know because I’m a product of that work ethic.

My parents did it.

My friends parents did it.

And I’m pretty sure some of your parents did it.
