If I Can’t See You, I Can’t Trust You
FINALLY! I’m so excited about this video that I don’t even know where to begin. It’s as if the people behind Cubes Are Evil made this animated video about MY life. I promise you will feel the same way.
Watch it now. Watch it again. Then be a good citizen of the world and share it with every person you know.
Here are a few of my favorite points from the video:
Why do the majority of Americans have to sit within 4 closed off walls when the world is becoming infinitely boundless and connected? (I told you!)
America is no longer a manufacturing based country but rather an IDEA and SERVICE based economy. (We can’t ignore that and refuse to change. We need to catch up!)
So why are we working in a model that is contradictory to the nature of our economic output?
Baby Boomers worked in the model that the more time you spent in your office, the more work you got done. (Umm is this really working for anyone?)
That model was based on the agricultural clock of working from sunrise to sunset. (Hence the dreaded 9 to 5 work model)
Corporations CAN NOT continue to view themselves as the parent and the employee as the mischievous child (Who’s your daddy?)
Managers CAN NOT live under the mantra of If I can’t see you I can’t trust you (Working outside the office can work!)
Thanks Kenji Summers for putting me on!
